You will have a strategic short and long term vision to promote “The Heart of Georgian Bay” as a leading Ontario destination.
You will serve as the official spokesperson for “The Heart of Georgian Bay”. You will be responsible for budgeting and financial accountability, marketing North Simcoe tourism destinations, strategic oversight and communications, government and stakeholder relations, sponsorships and partnerships.
• Minimum three (3) years in progressively responsible related position
• Experience with travel/tourism sales and marketing in a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) or tourism organization
• Extensive knowledge of local, regional, national and international tourism trends, as well as an ability to apply solid financial principles to attain organizational budgetary goals
The TD is initially a six (6) month full time contract position to start immediately. The Board of Directors is currently seeking funding for future years and the successful candidate will be a key player in securing this funding. Compensation is based on experience.
