Cody Oschefski
Running For: Councillor Ward 2

I am running for Midland Town Council because…

I am passionate about making Midland a better place and motivated to have a part in it. Critical decisions ahead and I am eager to get them right.

My vision for Midland is...

A strong and safe community full of happy residents of every demographic. A relaxing small town atmosphere on the beautiful Georgian Bay, while still being a booming town for local business. A fun, event packed town for residents and guests and a welcoming atmosphere for those who choose to visit. Our sustainable, customer service driven, age friendly, growth ready home.

I will accomplish this vision by focusing on the following three things:

(a) Focused hard work and dedication

(b) Communication and responsiveness to residents

(c)Knowing the issues or topics, seeing both sides, making the right decisions at the right times.

Describe your top three accomplishments that make you a good candidate for Council. For current or previous members of council, please focus on your top three as a council member:

(a) Creating and branding the Midland Youth Committee.

(b) Working with the community to bring fun events and new things that Midland residents and guests may have never seen before. Creating and running FloatieFest, Jaws on the lake and being a part of as many events as I possibly could, including chairing the Buttertart festival committee for the last 2+ years.

(c)Passion for getting it right and drive and enthusiasm to make it happen. Constantly researching issues and connecting with people on both sides of the issues to ensure I make an educated decision. Strong communication and daily interaction with the public, always working hard to connect residents with staff and address questions or concerns quickly.
