  1. would have like to read your ideas

  2. I find it interesting that a community forum such as midlandcommunity.ca would arbitrarily choose not to post answers to questions that were posed to candidates based on their own opinion that the answers were not appropriate for an online forum. I thought the reason for the questions were to get their opinions, not decide what can be posted and what can’t be posted. I agree with Bonnie that it would have been nice to read his ideas. I can’t imagine there was anything that Mr. Kramp would have said that would not have been suitable for this forum. Although I suppose we would never know since it wasn’t posted.

      Hi Trevor,

Sorry for the delay. We can’t get into specifics but we will say Mr. Kramp’s first response submission to us was not within the 300 words limit, we allowed him to edit it and his second submission had answers that contained sensitive information that was not appropriate for our website or organization to post. Please note: the version posted on Mr. Kramp’s FB page is not entirely what was submitted to us, he has censored his copy and left out the answers to question 4. We felt it was important not to edit any candidate’s responses, therefore since we could not post all of his answers, we posted none.

  3. Interesting earlier comment wasn’t allowed on site. Just read Stephan’s comments and don’t quite understand why MidlandCommunity.ca wouldn’t allow them on their website. Seems to me that a community based site such as MidlandCommunity.ca is censoring the opinion’s of people who are running for town council. Is this the democracy in action that MidlandCommunity.ca stands for?

  4. So you have stated that you will turn Midland from the 8th worst town in canada to the best town in canada. You have to realize that that is not an attainable or realistic goal it is complete nonsense that you think you could accomplish that. A more realistic goal may be to just get us off the “worst” list. An unattainable promise like that makes me wonder what else you are willing to say to get votes. Maybe you could give all Midland residents a kagillion dollars or one unicorn for each house. Focus on real goals!!
